Q.) Does a person become immune to their OCD medication?

A.) Yes, overtime, your body adjusts and your doctor will probably increase the dose. This is for most medicines. You don't have to worry, many medications are effective for years and some longer then you can live. I would focus on using the medicine to stop performing rituals, and slowly get off the medication. Take comfort knowing that if you ever need it, it will be there. I used this technique and I never had to use my anxiety medication again...
