Q.) How to get rid of it for good

A.) What you need to do is to train your brain how to ultimately think like someone who does not have OCD. You also need to stop performing rituals so that your brain can see that nothing bad happened to you. The part that people have difficulty with is the anxiety they feel after they refuse to perform a ritual. You need to realize that it just just sensations and that nothing is wrong with you. You are going through a mental withdrawal from chemicals in your brain. Once you learn the skills on how to wean yourself off of the chemical addiction that your brain has to OCD, it's impossible to get OCD again, you'll simply have too much information.
