Question below

Q.) My ocd manifests itself in derealization and existential thoughts, why are we here, what happens when we die? etc. How do you shift your thoughts away from this?

A.) Focus on the things that you need to focus on, realizing those thoughts are going to fight for your attention. The thoughts that you place your focus on the most will be the strongest. Every time we focus on a thought, we actually increase the size of the physical connection in our brain. When we focus on something else, that connection actually gets smaller and the thought we focus on is more easily utilized by the brain. Our brain always chooses the path of least resistance. This is a process and it takes repetition for your brain to make the change.

(Questions are briefly answered here in this blog. I am currently creating a product that will answer these questions in great detail with "how to" step-by-step instructions and audio, so check for this in up coming e-mails!)
