A.) It's funny with drugs. Some drugs work better for some and some work better for others. If you decide to take the drug route, I would talk to your doctor so they can help you find out which ones work best for your situation. I think that if you want to get rid of OCD without side effects, the best way is drug free. However, if your OCD is really bad, which can be determined by your doctor, then medicine can help. Ultimately, even with medicine, you'll still have to do the legwork to become OCD free, then you'll have to wean off the medicine, which has it's own side effects.
